A batch of Neuve Chapelle wounded on a French railway station, 1915. The Battle of Neuve Chapelle (10-13 March 1915) was a British offensive in the Artois region of France. The battle at Neuve Chapelle marked a watershed in trench warfare, which showed how the new conditions affected attack and defence.
