'Fahua jar with openwork design showing the Eight Daoist Immortals', c1550.' A porcelain jar dating from The Ming Period (1368-1644) of Jiangxi China, from The Eumorfopoulos collection, collected by George Eumorfopoulos (1863-1939). The design depicts Shou Lao the ancient Chinese Taoist god of long life and luck seated upon a rocky platform with his attendants and the eight immortals. From The Connoisseur Volume 101.
