'First King of Oudh's Tomb. Lucknow', c1900. Shah Najaf Imambara was constructed by Nawab Ghazi-ud-Din Haider, the last nawab wazir and the first King of the state of Awadh in 1816 - 1817. It serves as his tomb. The Nawab of Awadh or the Nawab of Oudh was the title of the rulers who governed the state of Oudh or Awadh, India during the 18th and 19th centuries. Saadat Ali Khan (1680-1739) was the first Subahdar Nawab of Awadh from 26 January 1722 to 1739.
