Tyburn Turnpike, Westminster, London, 1820 (1878). A view of Tyburn Turnpike showing the toll house and a toll being collected from a horseman near the gatepost. Tyburn in earlier times was a place of public execution. The turnpike was situated at what is now the junction of Oxford Street and Bayswater Road, where Marble Arch stands today.
