Notting Hill Adventure Playground, London, 1972. During the 1950s, Caribbean immigrants were drawn to Notting Hill, partly because of cheap rents, but were exploited by slum landlords. Open access adventure playground for local inner city children were promoted as a way to decrease crime and to reach disaffected youth.
