Underground Railway, Leningrad, 1970s. Saint Petersburg Metro has been open since 15 November 1955 and is one of the deepest metro systems in the world. It features ypical Soviet designs and decoration which make it also one of the most attractive. A new set of tunnels were added in June 2004
