Ripon Cathedral from South East, Ripon, Yorkshire, 20th century. Seat of the Bishop of Leeds and a Grade I listed building, the crypt dates from 672 when Saint Wilfrid replaced a previous timber church with a stone structure which was largely rebuilt from 1160 to 1547.
