Willy Howe, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, 20th century. A large round barrow or tumulus which has been excavated several times by Lord Londesborough in 1857 and Rev. Greenwell in 1887. Neither found burials or grave goods; Greenwell found a feature approximating a shallow grave. The site is a location of a folktale and legend.
