The Merry Maidens Stone Circle, Penwith, Cornwall, 20th century. Also known as Dawn's Men, a late neolithic stone circle located in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The circle comprises of nineteen granite megaliths. Local myth suggests nineteen maidens were turned into stone as punishment for dancing on a Sunday.
