Stone relic of Hephaistos, Roman Smith-God, Turkey, 20th century. Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmiths, his Roman equivalent is Vulcan. As a smithing god, Hephaestus made all the weapons of the gods in Olympus, his symbols are a smith's hammer, anvil, and a pair of tongs.
