Prehistoric Monolith in Churchyard of Rudston, Humberside, UK, 20th century. The Rudston Monolith at over 7.6 metres (25 ft) is the tallest megalith (standing stone) in the United Kingdom. Made of gritstone from Cayton or Cornelian Bay, the monument dates to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age period c2400-1400 BC.
