Southeast transept, Liverpool Cathedral, 1926. Designed by Giles Gilbert Scott and built on St James Mount, in the centre of Liverpool, this is the second largest Anglican cathedral in the world. The foundation stone of the building was laid in 1904. Although the church was consecrated in 1924 it was not finally completed until 1978.
