'Lieut. G. Herbert Whyte', c1908, (1917). Lieutenant George Herbert Whyte. Unit: 2nd/18th Battalion, London Regiment (London Irish Rifles). Died on 23rd December 1917, Killed in Action in Jerusalem, Palestine. In 1908, Whyte established the International Order of the Round Table, with his wife Ethel. He was Senior Knight from 1907 until his death in 1917. The Order of the Round Table, aims to promote the development of physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential in young adults.
