Prince Charles Edward Stuart (1720-1788), also known as 'The Young Pretender', 'The Young Chavalier' and 'Bonnie Prince Charlie', was the grandson of James II and the second Jacobite pretender to the thrones of England, Scotland, France and Ireland after the death of his father James 'The Old Pretender'.
