'El Cacharrero', (The Crockery), 1778-1778, (c1934). A complex scene of city and street life. A Valencian crockery seller distributes his wares on the street, while a carriage passes with an elegant lady and two gentlemen inside. The resulting tapestry was intended for bedroom decor of the princes of Asturias at the Palace of El Pardo, near Madrid. Oil on canvas. Held in the Museo del Prado, Madrid.
