'A Pair of Chelsea Groups Representing the Seasons', 1911. Louis-François Roubiliac (Roubillac) (1702-1762) was one of the four most prominent sculptors in London working in the rococo style. He was employed for a time as a modeller at the Chelsea porcelain factory, (established around 1743-45), the first important porcelain manufactory in England with it's earliest soft-paste porcelain, aimed at the aristocratic market.
