'W. B. Yeats', c1900, (1934). William Butler Yeats (1865-1939) a prominent figure of the Irish and British literary establishments, in his later years served as an Irish Senator for two terms. Yeats was a notable figure behind the Irish Literary Revival and cofounded the Abbey Theatre, where he served as its chief during its early years.
