'Plan of Flodden Field', 9 September 1513, (c1880). The Battle of Flodden or Flodden Field, or occasionally Battle of Branxton (Brainston Moor, was part of a conflict between the Kingdoms of England and Scotland, fought in the county of Northumberland on 9 September 1513, between an invading Scots army under King James IV (1473-1513) and an English army commanded by the Earl of Surrey, Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk (1443-1524).
