Pendennis Castle during the siege of 1646, (c1990-2010). Aerial reconstruction drawing of Pendennis as it may have looked during the siege of 1646, Cornwall. Pendennis Castle was an artillery fort constructed by Henry VIII near Falmouth, Cornwall, England between 1540 and 1542 by John Killigrew and gfeatured in the English Civil War and Second World War. The castle is managed by English Heritage as a tourist attraction
