East Hall of Wolvesey Castle, Old Bishop's Palace, c1160, (c2000s). Interior reconstruction drawing Bishop Henry of Blois presiding over a meeting of church leaders in Wolvesey Castle, also known as the Old Bishop's Palace, Winchester, Hampshire. Erected by the Bishop of Winchester Henry of Blois, Stephen's brother, between 1130 and 1136, the castle was destroyed by Roundheads during the English Civil War in 1646.
