Restormel Castle, 14th century, (c1990-2010). Bird's eye view of motte and bailey castle . Reconstruction drawing of the castle in the 14th century. One of the four chief Norman castles of Cornwall, the others being Launceston, Tintagel and Trematon. The castle is notable for its perfectly circular design.
