Sutton Hoo ship burial, 7th century, (1990-2010). Woodbridge, Suffolk. Reconstruction drawing of the Sutton Hoo ship burial in 620 or 630. Undisturbed ship burial, including a wealth of Anglo-Saxon artefacts of outstanding art-historical and archaeological significance, most of which are now in the British Museum in London. The person buried in the ship is generally considered to be Raedwald, the ruler of the East Angles.
