'Odo dismissed from Rochester Castle', c1860, (c1860). Odo Earl of Kent (died 1097), Bishop of Bayeux, and the half-brother of William the Conqueror. OdoÆs forces were defeated in the rebellion of 1808, leading to his dismissal from Rochester castle and banishment to Normandy, France.
