Amor Mundi. From Christine Rossetti's Poem.', c1850-1900, (1923). The tone of the poem in general describes in loss of hope and misery. At the first two stanzas, they begin the tale of the lovers on the top of a hill, radiating and floating in contentment. Yet as they continue to venture down the path off the hill, the exposure of grimness, darkness, and death becomes more prominent.
