'Largo S. Bento', 1895. Largo Sao Bento is one of the oldest public spaces in Sao Paulo, dating from 1598, where a small chapel was erected. In 1660, the Largo had already expanded around the chapel and the Catholic Church requested the construction of a monastery. From Sao Paulo by Gustavo Koenigswald. [S. Paulo, 1895]
