A blue and white transitional deep fish bowl, decorated in underglaze blue of good colour. On one side there are four sages discussing a Chinese painting in a bamboo grove, while nearby two servants watch one cooking, the other bundling up some scrolls. There is another scene of a scholar writing on a rock with two scholars looking on with two servants. The landscape has characteristic banana trees, clouds and mountain peak protruding from clouds. There are numerous 'v' grasses on the ground.
