Terracotta Goddess from shrine at Karphi, Lassithi, Crete, c12th century BC. A Minoan settlement was formed after the Invasion of Crete by the Dorians in 12th Cent BC. The Diadem bears birds which symbolize the divine presence. Sub-Minoan period c1100 BC. At Archaeological Museum of Heraclion, Crete.
