White City Stadium, London, July 1966. Originally built for the 1908 summer Olympics, it became the home of greyhound racing and hosted a number of other sports. It is shown here set up for athletics. Two weeks later it played host to the World Cup football match between Uruguay and France. The stadium was demolished in 1985.
