The Angel Inn, Highgate, London, 1882. Situated only five miles from Westminster and the City of London, and the meeting place of several roads, the village of Highgate was a convenient stopover place. It had five inns by 1552 and 21 in 1841. The Angel, an inn from the 17th century, has experienced several transformations in its time. Albumen print.
