Bellerophon and Pegasus, Roman Wallpainting from Pompeii, 1st century. Bellerophon was a great hero and slayer of monsters, alongside Cadmus and Perseus, before the days of Heracles, his greatest feat was killing the Chimera. Pegasus, a white stallion is one of the best known creatures in Greek mythology.
