British Embassy, 70 Wilhelmstrasse, Berlin, 1939. View of the porticoed main entrance, photographed before the outbreak of World War II. The Palais Strousberg, designed by Augustus Orth, dated from 1867-1868. The British government purchased it for use as their embassy in 1884. The building was demolished in 1950.
