'Marshal Louis-Alexandre Berthier - Prince of Neufchatel and of Wagram', 1796, (1896). Louis-Alexandre Berthier (1753-1815), 1st Prince of Wagram, Sovereign Prince of Neuchâtel, was a French Marshal and Vice-Constable of the Empire, and Chief of Staff under Napoleon. The Battle of Lodi was fought on 10 May 1796 between the French and the Austrians at Lodi, Lombardy, Italy.
