Wiener Secessionsgebäude - The Secession building, Vienna Austria, 2015. Designed by Joseph Maria Olbrich in 1897, the Vienna Secession's exhibition house was built in the vicinity of Karlsplatz and soon became known as the Secession and became an icon of the movement. The Vienna Secession was an art movement formed in 1897 by a group of Austrian artists who had resigned from the Association of Austrian Artists, housed in the Vienna Künstlerhaus. This movement included painters, sculptors, and architects.
