Urn showing the Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo, 1815 (1817-1819). Item in Apsley House, London, from the Duke of Wellington's Prussian Service, made in Berlin in 1817-1819 as a gift to the Duke from the King of Prussia. The service is decorated with images of Wellington's military career, in this case his final victory over Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815. In a piece of artistic licence, the Duke is shown on a white charger rather than Copenhagen, the horse he rode at the battle.
