French artillerymen drag a Canon de 105 mle 1913 Schneider into position at Moulin Laffaux in the Aisne region of Hauts-de-France, during the Second Battle of the Aisne. The French assaults against the strongly defended German positions were only partially successful, and resulted in major casualties for the French Army, who experienced mutinies throughout their front line regiments for weeks after the battle.
