Camber Castle, East Sussex, 2010. View from inside the castle walls. Camber Castle is a Device Fort built during the reign of Henry VIII to protect the port of Rye, the harbour at Winchelsea and the Camber anchorage. Formerly on a headland, it is now some way inland due to silting.
