'Charles the Second Knighting the Loin of Beef', (19th century). King Charles II (1630-1685) is shown with sword drawn, about to utter the words 'Arise, Sir Loin'. This story, about the monarch who supposedly knighted a cut of meat because it was so delicious, was also told about Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and James I.
