'Study for a page in the Kaisersaal for the Apollo on the Staircase-hall of Würzburg Residence, and Studies of Legs for the Death of Hyacinthus in Bückeburg', 1751-1752, (1928). 'Apollo; kneeling page; leg and foot studies', chalk on paper. Studies for the ceiling frescoes of the staircase-hall and for 'Barbarossa's Marriage', fresco in the Kaisersaal of the Würzburg Residence, Germany, and for 'The Death of Hyacinthus', owned by the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid, Spain. Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart, Germany. Italian Venetian painter and printmaker Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696-1770), worked not only in Italy, but also in Germany and Spain. He was commissioned to carry out frescoes in churches and palaces, and was elected President of the Academy of Padua. As well as his large-scale majestic works, he also produced etchings and oil paintings, and is widely regarded as one of the most important artists of the period.
