New City Hall, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, c1900. The City Hall, the best remaining example of Richardson Romanesque in Cincinnati, was designed by Samuel Hannaford and built in the in the 1880s. As the building becomes taller, its windows get smaller, an optical trick known as forced perspective which makes the structure appear larger than it actually is.
