Court House, Thomasville, Georgia, USA, c1900. The Thomas County Courthouse, designed by John Wind and built in 1858. The portico on one side collapsed during construction, killlng one worker and injuring another. The front portico was later filled in and the columns removed, with the cupola being replaced with a clock tower. From Scenic Marvels of the New World edited by Prof. Geo.R. Cromwell.
