'Duplicate of Franklin's Press', (1881). Franklin's Press was said to have been used by American scientist, diplomat and politician Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) in John Watts's printing shop in London in 1726. Franklin was also a printer, freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and one of the authors of the US Declaration of Independence.
