'Interior of the Chapel Royal (Banqueting House), Whitehall', (1881). The Banqueting House in Westminster, London, was designed by Inigo Jones and completed in 1622. The ceiling is decorated with paintings by Peter Paul Rubens commissioned by King Charles I in 1635. It is the only remnant of the Palace of Whitehall, which was destroyed by fire in 1698.
