Les Edifices Antiques de Rome'; The Ancient Buildings of Rome; this folio architectural engraving is by Antoine Babuty Desgodets (1653-1728); Desgodetz work was extremely detailed and highly decorative. He was sent to Rome to create engravings of the monuments and antiquities to further instruct French artists and architects.
