US-Mexican War 1846 - 1848; Winfield Scott (1786 - 1866); Antonio de Leon (1794-1848); Battle of Molino del Rey; 8th September 1847; battle took place just outside Mexico City and resulted in a stand off with the US Army successfully marching into Mexico City one week later.
