Émile Prisse d'Avennes (1807-1879) was a French archeologist, Egyptologist, architect and writer of the nineteenth century; Sultan Barquoq (c.1363-1399) was the first Sultan of the Mamluk Burji dynasty that ruled Egypt from 1382 to 1517.
