'Eugen Prinz Von Savoyen', (1933). Portrait of Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663-1736). Regarded as one of the outstanding military strategists of his time, Eugene of Savoy was one of the allied commanders in the War of the Spanish Succession. Together with John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough, he participated in the victory at Blenheim. He also fought against the Turks, notably taking Belgrade from them in 1718, and went on to become Governor of the Austrian Netherlands. After a miniature by Benjamin Arlaud.
