'Theodor Körner', (1933). Portrait of German poet and soldier Theodor Körner, who fought against Napoleon in the Lützow Free Corps (a volunteer force of the Prussian army). Körner composed patriotic lyrics to encourage his comrades, but was killed in battle at the age of 21. After a miniature of 1798 by his sister Emma Körner. From "Gestalten Der Weltgeschichte", a book of cigarette-card portrait miniatures of figures in world history from the last four hundred years. [Germany, 1933]
