On the right is British politician and statesman Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965), with a dog on his knees. Sitting on the arm of his chair is his mother Lady Randolph Churchill. To her left is her younger son and Winston's brother, Jack Churchill. Winston Churchill was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945, and again from 1951 to 1955.
