'Westminster Abbey', c1935. Westminster Abbey in London, the medieval church traditionally used for royal weddings, coronations and funerals. The two western towers, designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor, were built between 1722 and 1745. In the foreground is the Westminster Scholars War Memorial, also known as the Crimea and Indian Mutiny Memorial, designed by George Gilbert Scott.
