Eye Castle and Kerrisons Folly, Eye, Suffolk, 2014. Eye Castle was a motte and bailry castle built shortly after the Norman Conquest. Sir Edward Kerrison, a soldier and politician, built a house on top of the motte in the 1840s, but it decayed into ruin and is now known as Kerrison's Folly.
